Church Parade 1st December
December Church Parade will be at St Luke’s Church. We hope to have a good number of both groups in attendance in full smart uniform. Catholics please note this is an Anglican church so you will need to fulfil your obligation elsewhere, however we will all be made very welcome indeed. The church is at the top of Browning Road at the junction with Phipps Hatch, Enfield, Middx, EN2 0HL. Meeting inside the Church at 10:15am. Followed by a Christmas Fayre “The Christmas Cracker”. Last night of Term 13th December
Change of plan as Beavers and Cubs have been invited to the District Christmas Camp Fire which is being held at District HQ in Turkey Street (large hall Hertford Road side, near to A10 Junction). Times to be confirmed next week.
Night Hike 6th December
This has been moved to 6th December due to the above. Beavers and Cubs will meet at St John’s Church, Clay Hill junction with Strayfield Road at 5.45pm finishing at St John’s at around 7pm depending on weather and speed of walking etc. Dress for cold and wet weather with hat to cover ears cloves and boots essential. Uniform to be worn under coat with scarf and woggle. Christmas theme accessories may be worn including high vis items, santa hats and anything with flashing lights. Bring a torch. We need some parents to join the walk so please let Kaa or Peter know if you can help.
Scouts will be joining at a later time to be confirmed.
Parent Rota
With Beavers now full and cubs growing, we would like to remind parents that they should sign up for at least one evening per term to help out. The activities that we can provide are dependent on parental support on evenings, for example we have a night hike in a few weeks and need parents for adequate safety supervision. Please click on the link from the email sent out to you by the group scout leader. If you have not received this email then please check your spam/junk box and add us to your list of contacts or contact us at If parents do not sign up then we will be allocating a rota.
We want you as a new recruit
We are looking for a permanent assistant beaver scout leader and an assistant cub scout leader to join our established team. It is a very rewarding experience and doesn’t take up much of your time. It is also extremely good on your CV giving you leadership skills. Full training is available. Please contact any of the leaders for more information or just to try out one evening to give it a go (with no commitment).
