Dear Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Young Leaders, Parents and Leaders,
Meetings Resume This Friday
Welcome back from the summer holidays. Meetings resume for summer term this Friday 9th September.
Congratulations to Ryan Mortimer, Leo Caira, Thomas Giddings and Max Champion on moving from Beavers to Cubs, Jake Moclair and Anabelle Beddoes on moving from Cubs to Scouts, Aled and Thomas moving from scouts to Young Leader/Explorer section.
We invested a record number of adults into uniform this year. Welcome to Liam, Mumina, Yvonne, Lisa and Graham. If you are thinking of joining our great adventure please ask for details. Thanks to all of our leadership team and parent helpers for your hard work and dedication.
Online Payments System
Some of you may have noticed that the online payments system is sending confirmations referring to "13th Enfield". This is resolved so all references should now refer to “29th Enfield”. Be assured no change was required to the destination bank account details so existing mandates will continue to be effective.
Subscriptions for autumn term of £33 will be due on the 9th September. Please play this by the 3rd week of term, otherwise your place will be given to someone else from the waiting list. Please speak to any leader in confidence if you need to make other arrangements. Remember we do not accept cash for any payments.
We will be claiming Gift Aid on subscription payments from September. The My.Scout (OSM) system will handle the administration for us which is very easy, so you will be receiving an electronic invitation to sign up. We are able to claim 25 pence for every pound which will enable us to provide even more fun for our members now and in the future.
Full details on Gift Aid here: https://www.gov.uk/donating-to-charity/gift-aid
There are some new features in the My.SCOUT system. It is now possible to you view a history of emails so no need to ask for information to be resent. The option is in the menu at the top of the My.SOUT web page. Your link to the system will be resent shortly after this message.
Our next Church Parade will be this coming Sunday 11th September so please put this in your diary. Meeting 9am in the Parish Centre, door to the right as you approach the church: Our Lady of Mount Carmel & St George, 45 London Road, Enfield, EN2 6DS. Please make every effort to attend. Those of all faiths and none are very welcome. Full smart uniform essential with school trousers/skirt and black polished shoes. Refreshments served afterwards from 10:20.
November Church Parade will be for Remembrance Day. Same details as above, but note later start time of 10:30am on 13th November.
Cubs Centenary Year
Camp was excellent. There are more activities coming up next term including national Promise renewal on 16th December with the London North event at Hendon RAF Museum.
Welcome back for another exciting term of scouting activities.
