Autumn Term
Welcome back from the summer holidays, I hope you are all refreshed and ready for another fun packed year of Scouting. The Troop enjoyed an excellent summer camp, photos are available on Facebook and Twitter, and a full report will be available soon. Our section meetings resume next week on Friday 11th September. No meeting for half term on 30th October. Last meeting before Christmas 18th December (TBC).
Subs
£33 for autumn 2015 will be due on the first meeting, 11th September. Electronic payment requests will be arriving with you shortly. Please help by paying promptly as this reduces the amount of time leaders spend on administration. Our preferred method is electronic (we never get to see your bank details). Cheques payable to "13th Enfield Scouts" as we are still in the process of renaming the bank account to 29th Enfield. Please note we do not accept any payments by cash.
Church Parades
We continue to have one parade each half term. Dates for this term are Sunday 11th October, 9am and 8th November at the later time of 10:15 for Remembrance Day. Meeting in the Parish Centre, Our Lady of Mount Carmel and St George RC Church, London Road, Enfield. Please make every effort to attend both these parades.
Leadership Changes
Ryan is moving from Cubs to Scouts due to his work commitments. Many thanks to Ryan for his dedication working with the pack over the last 2 years.
Mike O'Doherty has kindly agreed to step up as a "Sectional Assistant" to help regularly with Cubs. I will be working closely with Cubs this term.
A big thank you to all our leaders who are continuing to give up their time to run fantastic programmes for our young people. We always need more help in sections and behind the scenes so please speak to any of our leaders for more information if you would like to find out more.
Moving on
For some of our members it is time to move from Beavers to Cubs and Cubs to Scouts. We hope you have enjoyed your time in your section and are looking forward to more fun and friends as you move on. Your new section leaders will contact those that will be moving on for the beginning of this term. When we transfer records on the computer system any ongoing direct debits will be cancelled so please reinstate these in your new section when the system invites you.
Emails and Communications
As our group continues to grow this is becoming more important: Please direct any queries in the first instance to your section leaders. They are contactable at
respectively.
Please always make sure your subject line is relevant to your message by not simply replying to these group emails, as these go out to over 100 destinations and your message is likely to be mixed up with bounced messages and delivery reports. It also makes it impossible to track conversations by subject, and I receive 100s of scout related emails every month.
