To all Beaver, Cub and Scouts, Parents, Leaders and Young Leaders,
New Group Scarves
Our new combined design group scarves have arrived and look like this:
They will be given out to all members this Friday 6th March from when we will start to use our new name “29th Enfield (Our Lady & St George)”. We are not charging for these and the old ones can be kept as souvenirs and will become collectors items in the future as they are unique. For the new design to work it is essential that the scarves are kept ironed and rolled neatly and tightly so that equal amounts of the 3 colours are visible at the front. They will be given out in this condition. Please treat them with respect and look after them. They must always be worn smartly with pride.
You will also be receiving new 29th Enfield name tapes to replace the 6th/13th Enfield name.
Please take care of these items as they are unique to us and only available by special order.

Church Parade
This next Sunday 8th March at Our Lady of Mount Carmel and St George. Meeting 9.00am in the parish centre, entrance to the right as you approach the church. Full SMART uniform, long sleeved uniform tops/shirts, smart school trousers/skirts, cleaned school shoes and your NEW scarf. We hope to have our new flags and they will be blessed during the service. This is a very important occasion for our group so please make every effort to attend. Refreshments in the hall afterwards and leaders will be available to chat.
St George's Day Parade
Sunday afternoon 26th April 2.45pm (not 2pm as previously stated) in Upper Grammar School playground off Little Park Gardens. Map: http://goo.gl/AUjo5b . All Beavers, Cubs and Scouts in the district are expected to attend. Please put this in your new diary now! Attendance is mandatory. Parents will need to leave the playground as soon as you have can after leaving young people with us (unless you are helping). We suggest you line the streets though the Town and will be able to enter the Lower Grammar School playground via the Parsonage Lane/Baker Street entrance after the parade has been formally dismissed.
Group Camp 8th - 10th May 2015
Electronic invitations to our fantastic group camp will be sent shortly after this message so please check your junk/updates/promotions folders. This camp is for all Beavers, Cubs and Scouts in our group. We have booked Well End Scout Camp near Borehamwood with plenty of great on site activities with site instructors. Beavers have indoor accommodation and are staying from Friday through to Saturday evening. Cubs and scouts are camping in tents and staying until Sunday afternoon. Cost is just £25 for Beavers, £30 for Cubs and Scouts which includes food and activities. Full details will be released via My.Scout and you will be able to sign up and pay online. Definitely no cash please for this as we would have to handle it, issue receipts to you and take it to the bank which is a huge task and impossible to keep track of during busy section meetings.
Please don’t forward your My.Scout emails to anyone as they contain your secure link (the long string of random characters) to your account.
Thanks for all of your support,
Peter and the Leadership Teams
