Our New Identity
Our new combined design group scarves have arrived and look like this:
They will be given out to all members on 6th March from when we will start to use our new name “29th Enfield (Our Lady & St George)”. We are not charging for these and the old ones can be kept as souvenirs and will become collectors items in the future as they are unique. For the new design to work it is essential that the scarves are kept ironed and rolled neatly and tightly so that equal amounts of the 3 colours are visible at the front. They will be given out in this condition. Please treat them with respect and look after them. They must always be worn smartly with pride.
Church Parade
Thank you to all those that turned out for church parade last Sunday. We have our second parade of the term in just a few weeks on 8th March and need a really special bumper turnout for the blessing of our brand new 29th Enfield flags. Previous leaders of the 6th and 13th Enfield have been invited to join us on this special occasion.
Banking
Please continue to make any cheques payable to “13th Enfield Scout Group”. We will tell you when the bank is set up for the new name.
St George's Day Parade
Sunday afternoon 26th April 2pm in Enfield Town. All Beavers, Cubs and Scouts in the district are expected to attend. Please put this in your new diary now! Attendance is mandatory.
Group Camp 8th - 10th May 2015
Put this date in your diary now! Our fantastic group camp is for all Beaver Cubs and Scouts in our group. We have booked Well End Scout Camp near Borehamwood with plenty of great onsite activities with site instructors. Beavers have indoor accommodation and are staying from Friday through to Saturday evening. Cubs and scouts are camping in tents and staying until Sunday afternoon. Cost is just £25 for Beavers, £30 for Cubs and Scouts which includes food and activities. Full details will be released via My.Scout in the next week or so and you will be able to sign up and pay online. Definitely no cash please for this as we would have to handle it, issue receipts to you and take it to the bank which is a huge task and impossible to keep track of during busy section meetings.
Chicken Shed Theatre: Changing Stages
One of our leaders Osman is performing in a show with Chicken Shed Theatre. He would be very pleased if some of us go and see the show. I am planning on going on the Sunday at 1:30pm if anyone wants to join me let me know. Information and book here:

Congratulations to Sean, Adrian, Grace and Niall for winning the District Scouts Wii Bowling competition for the second year. Sean also retained his trophy for the highest personal score. More on twitter: http://t.co/Z1gibd770q where you can also follow Buddy Beaver and find out why the scouts needed to use an electric drill to cook pancakes.
